Burning Seed 2013

2nd October 2013 - 8th October 2013

Australia's regional Burning Man event is a gathering like no other, a not-for-profit festival run by participants and based around art and community. As the official regional burn for Australia, it follows in the footsteps of the Burning Man festival that has been taking place in Black Rock Desert, Nevada, USA, since 1991, where every year tens of thousands of people create a temporary city that rises from an ancient dry lake bed over a week of intense creativity and sharing, before disappearing without a trace.

Announcing the Burning Seed 2013 tickets and theme: Re:Creation

Last year was a time of mythconceptions and the end of the world as we know it. Our Burner community, born of Australian fire, now faces the chance, and choice, to build something new. A time of Re:Creation.

As we move onto the next chapter of our story, we not only have the opportunity to recreate a Burn in our own image but to recreate ourselves. Within Re:Creation is the burning question: do we treat our Burns as just another form of recreation, a time to play and no more? Or is it much more, a chance to re-create who we are as individuals and as communities? If the Hopi are right, we are the ones we have been waiting for and our Burn is Re: Creation.

Welcome to another year of building something together.

Tickets are now on sale here:

First tier tickets are $125 until June 16. Second Tier tickets will cost $145 until August 11 and Third Tier tickets will cost $165 until start of event.
