LOTS OF LAUGHTER IN SOUTHWELL.
Funhouse Comedy Club returns to the Admiral Rodney, Southwell for another great night of laughter.
Headlining the night is Irish comedian Martin Mor. Starting out as a circus entertainer he then decided to turn to stand-up. Having supported Frankie Boyle, Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Jasper Carrot, Patrick Kielty, Johnny Vegas, Steve Coogan, and once Tina Turner on Tour he is one of the most popular and well travelled comics on the circuit. His fiery insults often directed at audience members, are accepted with laughter when delivered by this gentle giant of a man.
Support comes from award winning writer and international comedian Mark Maier, who has many TV and Radio appearances to his name including Ch 4's 'Rory Bremner, Who Else', Ch 5's 'Five's Company' and ITV's 'Dating The Enemy'. Also in demand as a voiceover, you may have heard him on South Park. His natural and original comedic technique is sustained throughout by this seasoned craftsman of observational comedy.
Completing the line-up is the hilarious Simon Lomas who finished 3rd in this years 'English Comedian of The Year Competition. He captivates the audience with his imaginative and enjoyable wordplay and the confident and engaging Chris Tavner, with his clever and often absurd perceptions.
Compere for the night will be the lively and likeable Spiky Mike.
Time: 8:15 pm - 11:00 pm.
